The Simba (lion shapeshifters) were supposed to be elite warriors who would aid the Ajaba in combat, but they ended up doing the whole fight alone. They felt that the Ajaba were betraying their sacred task and their reactions to it were mixed. The conflict grew untenable and turned into an internal war that made them less effective in their task. this was a severe blow for male hominids, but for hyena-born, this was natural.
But the way Gaia created the Ajaba, it was women who were warriors and men were mystics. In human societies, men were always the ones who carried out the fighting and hunting. The hominids of these societies might have accepted being ruled by women, but there was another problem that proved to be more insurmountable.
There were some matriarchies but they were not abundant. However, the idea did not turn out so well.Īt the time that Gaia created the Ajaba, many humans had primarily male-ruled societies. In the initial plan, the Bastet, with their versatility, would support the Ajaba using their gifts as the Mother's eyes telling the Ajaba where and when to attack. This was not right, for there was no one left to guard the southern lands.Īs she did not like to tell her children what to do, she decided to create a new changing race to fulfill the role of wolves in these lands. In the beginning, when Gaia created the changing races to carry out different tasks, she realized that the wolves remained living in the northern lands.
